Autumn is my favorite season and I am so happy it is finally here. It has still been hot in the afternoons, but is ever so chilly in the mornings. We had our first fire in the woodstove this last week to take away the morning chill. It has put me in the mood for warm and cozy things. I put up some autumn goodies above my kitchen cupboard and a few pumpkins in the living room.
I am enjoying all the little pumpkins around the house and dreaming of fall baking, of which I haven't time to do yet... a new baby is in the house ♥ He is doing great, but baking will wait another week or so:) I do have a few things in mind tho-apple pie, pumpkin bread, sugar cookies, and I want to try making homemade doughnuts... Yummy.
My sweet mama came down for a couple days and finished canning the applesauce I was in the middle of when baby Nolan decided he was ready to enter the world. I am so grateful for her help! It is such a relief to have those last four boxes that were on the floor in the laundry room all jarred up and on the pantry shelf ♥ we got a total of 90 jars! It will be so yummy this winter on toast with peanut butter...
Right now I am just in a state of bliss ♥ rocking this new little boy that has entered our world, being thankful for all the bounties of this season we have been able to preserve, enjoying the crisp cool mornings of autumn and all its beauty, and looking forward to pumpkin everything ♥

I just set down to check my blog after spending the day making and canning applesauce. I still have a box left to do. Like you I will be glad when it's done. But I do love having homemade applesauce in the winter.
Just ate homemade applesauce today -- so yummy! Your fall decor is so pretty -- I'm a fellow "fall-lover!"
Smiles and warm fuzzies when I read your blog. And of course dreaming of holding a sweet baby in a rocker. I have been thinking of making homemade applesauce. Must do it now.
Congratulations Kelsey and Michael! What a surprise and finally a September baby for the family! Yes I'm a little partial there LOL! I can't wait to see you all! If not before then definitely by Christmas time. Your fall decorating is so inspiring. I have a few little things for autumn, I guess its time to go pull them out. Have a wonderful week!
